Connecting ScreenSpace with HubSpot enables seamless lead capture and management, allowing you to automate workflows, create detailed reports, and view user engagement data directly in HubSpot, ensuring that your leads are nurtured efficiently and effectively.

  • Automate Lead Management: Automatically create and update contacts in HubSpot.

  • Detailed Engagement Insights: View ScreenSpace engagement data within HubSpot contact records.

  • Custom Reports: Create detailed reports using ScreenSpace engagement metrics.

  • Trigger Workflows: Automate actions based on ScreenSpace engagement data.

Connect HubSpot to Your Workspace

ScreenSpace uses OAuth to securely connect your workspace with a HubSpot account.

  1. Navigate to the Integrations Setup page inside your workspace settings

  2. Click the Toggle for HubSpot

  3. Click Connect in the pop-up

  4. Sign in to your HubSpot Account (if not already signed in)

  5. Select the account you'd like to connect

  6. Click Connect app

Boom! You're now ready to send leads and engagement data to your HubSpot account.

Link HubSpot to a ScreenSpace Form

Creating a native form is simple and can be done through the Form Creator page inside your Workspace settings.

  1. Create a new ScreenSpace form and select HubSpot as the connected integration.

  2. Choose integration type:

    • Native Form: Option to Create and/or Update Contact in HubSpot. This lets you map ScreenSpace fields to any HubSpot Contact Property without creating a form inside HubSpot.

    • Connected Form: Select an existing HubSpot form. This lets you map ScreenSpace fields to fields in your HubSpot form and submit the form on behalf of the lead.

  3. Map the ScreenSpace fields (on the left) with your HubSpot properties or fields (on the right).

  4. Click Save to save your form

  5. Test your integration by submitting your form right inside the Story's Visual Designer, and then view the most recent Contact in HubSpot.

What Happens When a HubSpot Form is Submitted

For Native Forms

  • ScreenSpace sends email (required) and mapped fields to HubSpot. Depending on your settings, this will either Create or Update your contact.

  • Contacts are identifiable by the property Latest Source Drill-Down 2: ScreenSpace.

  • Your Contact's Custom Properties are updated accordingly

For Linked Forms

  • ScreenSpace submits your existing HubSpot form using your lead's info

How to Use Lead & Engagement Data Inside HubSpot

View Engagement Data in Contact Records

  1. Click Customize Record at the top of the Contact View

  2. Select the View you would like to edit

  3. Click Add Cards in the left sidebar

  4. Click Create Card and select Property List

  5. Complete the Card

    1. Name: ScreenSpace

    2. Internal Name: ScreenSpace Engagement Data

    3. Properties: Search ScreenSpace and select each Property in the group.

  6. Click Save

View Story Engagement in Timeline View

Track how contacts engage with your Stories over time, providing insights into their journey and enabling timely, relevant outreach.

  1. Click Filter Activity at the top of the Contact Timeline

  2. Activate ScreenSpace under Integrations

  1. Create a custom Dashboard

  2. Select Advanced Filters at the top of the page

  3. Select Quick Filters

  4. Search ScreenSpace and select the relevant property

Custom Reports

Generate detailed custom reports leveraging ScreenSpace data to analyze Story performance and understand user behavior.

  1. Create a Report based on a Single Object

  2. Select Contact as the Data Source

  3. Click Add Contact Property

  4. Search ScreenSpace and select the desired property

  5. Click Filters at the top

    1. Change Create Date to All Time

    2. Click Add Filter

    3. Search ScreenSpace and select the same property and select Is Known

  6. Click Visualization and select the desired chart type

  7. Click Save

Custom List

Build targeted lists based on ScreenSpace engagement data to segment your audience and personalize your marketing efforts more effectively.

  1. Copy the ScreenSpace Property Value

    1. Visit the Contact View for a contact who has submitted a ScreenSpace native form

    2. Select Actions and View All Properties

    3. Search Latest Source Drill-Down 2

    4. Hover over the next to ScreenSpace and and copy the Property Value

  2. Head over to your Lists and select Create List

  3. Select Contact-based and name your list

  4. Click Next

  5. Click Add Filter and select Contact Properties

  6. Search and select Latest Source Drill-Down 2 and enter the Property Value you copied earlier

  7. Click Save list

Trigger Workflows and Automations

  1. Create new Workflow from scratch

  2. Select Contact Based

  3. Click Set up triggers

  4. Set your Trigger

    1. Native forms

      1. Select When filter criteria is met

      2. Search and select ScreenSpace Timeline Event properties

      3. Select the relevant property (ie Total Engagement Time is Greater Than 30)

    2. Connected forms

      1. Select When an event occurs

      2. Search and select Form Submission

      3. Click Add criteria

      4. Select Form Name

      5. Select the form used when connecting HubSpot in ScreenSpace

  5. Complete and Save your Workflow
