This guide is to help you publish a single-shot video from ScreenSpace. If you are interested in editing your scenes into a multi-shot video, jump over to this article on how to edit multiple scenes together.

Congratulations! You have created your first video and you're ready to publish it. We have handled all of the prep work to optimize your video for the web and presentation software.

All that's left to do is download your video and re-upload!

Downloading Your Video

First, click to view your finished video either in the "Renders" pop-up in the bottom right corner of the Scene Editor or in the "Render Browser" tab of the Scene Browser. From here, you will see a download icon in the upper right corner.

If you are ready to use your video as-is, you will want to download your video as an MP4. This file is already prepped for primetime and is a much smaller file size than the ProRes 444 (intended for broadcast or editing).

Once the video file is in your download folder, you're ready to upload!

Uploading Your Video

As I mentioned, your video is already optimized for the web. This means you can browse to any video-hosting platform (Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, etc.), click the upload button, and select the video you just downloaded from ScreenSpace.

Creating Your Poster Image / Thumbnail

In most cases, you can create a poster image (video thumbnail) from the video itself. If you are using a service that asks you to upload your own thumbnail, simply create a free high-resolution image and upload that image where required.

Cropping Your Video

Almost all social media platforms now allow you to crop your video during the upload process. Just make sure you frame up your scene wide enough so your device and screen do not unintentionally drift off camera.
