Since ScreenSpace is essentially a high-end 3D platform, there are a few recommendations that can help improve your experience.
We strongly recommend using the ScreenSpace native app. Our platform uses your GPU to custom generate the 3D video preview from scratch – similar to professional 3D software. Although the native app is essentially a Chrome instance, your computer allocates additional resources to the standalone app whereas it will fight with extensions and other open tabs for resources when accessed through Chrome. The native app also ensures that there are no extensions or settings that will jeopardize the platform's performance.
If you prefer Chrome over the native app, here are some suggestions to optimize the performance:
Confirm that hardware acceleration is turned on in the Chrome advanced system settings.
On Windows, enter chrome://flags in the Chrome URL and search "ANGLE." Select "OpenGL" from the dropdown.
Open your browser incognito mode with no other tabs open.
Although not officially supported, we have received reports that the Firefox browser can perform better than Chrome on some systems.
For Windows users, we recommend confirming your dedicated GPU is default.
Open NVIDIA Control Panel (Under Appearance tab in Control Panel)
Select "Manage 3D Settings"
Select your more powerful GPU card under "OpenGL rendering GPU"
